For a lite-weight and easy-to-use NAS system, it’s very likely for user to have multiple drives with different capacity. So we need mergerfs, honestly that’s the only reason I use OMV for now.
轻NAS用户拥有多块不同容量的硬盘且不在乎读写峰值速度的应该不在少数吧，希望能有类似unraid的存储池功能，其实就是mergerfs+snapraid而已，cache可有可无吧，希望正式版能加入这个功能，不然浪费了这么好的平台。

They technically are using mergerfs with the merge storage feature. However, they have not put a good UI in front of it.
